Last month, the VW Polo Vivo proved to be a top pick for local buyers with 2,409 units making their way into new homes.

The second most popular hatchback, meanwhile, was the Suzuki Swift, which sold 1,872 units.

The top four were the only ones to crack the 1,000-unit mark, as fifth place was taken by the VW Polo with its 758 purchases.

Next up is the Toyota Vitz in sixth with 753 sales, and the Renault Kwid in seventh with 465 units.

Right behind this is the Suzuki S-Presso, which landed in eighth place in July with 445 showroom victories.
