BMW has unveiled the X3 Mzansi Edition, a South African-exclusive X3 with a starting price of R1,012,938.
“[The] Mzansi Edition of this locally-built hero displays another, more athletic dimension to the sports activity vehicle with a range of sportier features,” said BMW.
With the standard addition of the M Sport Package, the Shadowline styling package, and red M Sport brakes, the Mzansi Edition lives up to this claim.
The M Sport package brings sporty bumpers and M badging, along with a black chrome dual-pipe exhaust and large alloy wheels.
Additionally, this model shows off with a blackened grille and body bits provided by the Shadowline package, and extra flare is added by the addition of carbon mirror caps and a high-gloss black rear wing.
Performance
The X3 Mzansi Edition is available in five exterior colours, and comes with an electrically-operated tow hitch.
Inside the cabin, this SUV benefits from a high level of standard equipment, thanks to the M Sport package.
This includes:
- Ambient lighting
- Wireless charging
- Panorama sunroof
- Live cockpit professional
Below the bonnet you will find a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 140kW and 400Nm – mated to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission.
This lets the Mzansi Edition sprint to 100km/h in 8.0 seconds, and allows a top speed of 213km/h.
Every model then comes with a 5-year/100,000km BMW Motorplan.
The BMW X3 Mzansi Edition is now available for purchase, said the company.
