
The Toyota Hilux was both South Africa’s and Toyota’s best-selling new vehicle in February 2022, moving a total of 3,503 units.
The Hilux improved its sales in February by 700 units compared to January 2022, while the Isuzu D-Max sits in second in February – with 260 more units sold than the month before.
The Nissan NP200 took third place for best-selling bakkie in one of its biggest months yet, at 1,020 units.
Fourth place in February is accounted for by the Ford Ranger with 879 units, which also held the same spot in January.
The Mahindra Pik-Up then takes fifth place, with the GWM P-Series in sixth.
The rest of the best-selling bakkies in February follow a similar trend to that of January, with the the Toyota Land Cruiser 79, VW Amarok, Mahindra Bolero, Peugeot Landtrek, Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT-50, and Nissan Hardbody making the list.
