Opel Crossland SUV – 15 competitors it will face in South Africa

Opel has unveiled several new models this year, one of which is the Crossland SUV.

It is a compact crossover that is decently equipped – and it’s squarely aimed at the entry-level market.

The design is new and modern, and it even packs a grille that fits sensors and cameras for features such as forward collision alert.

The Crossland’s interior stands out at this price level, too, with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and soft-touch materials fitted on the dash.

Certain trims will see leather seats added, and a plethora of safety and connectivity features have been installed.

At the bottom of the line-up is the Edition model that costs R324,900 and produces 60kW of power and 118Nm of torque from a 1.2-litre engine.

At the top is the Elegance, which costs R399,900.

This variant receives a turbocharged motor capable of producing 81kW and 205Nm.

The claimed combined fuel consumption for the range is then between 5.8l and 6.3l for every 100 kilometres, and every Crossland customer will receive a 3-year/120,000km warranty along with a 3-year/45,000km service plan.
