New cars launching in South Africa in the next 3 months – With pricing

South African motorists are in for a treat over the course of the next three months, as there are at least 20 different models scheduled to make landfall on local soil from 13 brands.

Audi is continuing the rollout of its Black Edition special series with another four models, and Mercedes-Benz is prepping for the imminent launch of the new E-Class and CLE.

Also debuting between April and June are the next-gen Mini Cooper and Countryman, the new Opel Corsa, and the all-electric BYD Dolphin, the latter of which is expected to be the most affordable EV in the country when it arrives.

Speaking of Chinese brands; Chery has plans for a more affordable Tiggo 7 Max Pro, Haval is getting the new Jolion Pro, and GWM is bringing out the Tank 500 following the recent launch of the smaller Tank 300.

We’re also getting two new Asian carmakers with Jaecoo and LDV, which are launching the J7 SUV and T60 double-cab bakkie, respectively.

Buyers in need of a more affordable set of wheels can pick up the new VW Polo Sedan or the next-gen Kia Picanto, and Toyota fans still have one more vehicle to look forward to this month with the new Prado.

Finally, VW is wheeling out two SUVs – the facelifted Touareg and next-gen Tiguan – which will be followed up by the new T-Cross later this year.

There’s also a few brands that have new cars coming this year that have not been given a release date, such as the new Hyundai Santa Fe, the JAC T9 BEV, the Omoda C9 and E5, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, all of which could make an appearance soon, but are more likely to launch in the second half of 2024.
