This was followed by another Toyota – the Corolla Cross – with 2,743 sales, making it the most popular passenger car in South Africa.
Two affordable hatchbacks, the VW Polo Vivo and the Suzuki Swift, came third and fourth with 2,314 and 2,101 units, respectively.
The Ford Ranger then took the final spot in the top five with 2,066 units, making it the last vehicle to clear more than 2,000 sales.
