Top speed of every supercar in South Africa

The fastest car in South Africa is the McLaren 720S, which has an incredible top speed of 341km/h.

Equally impressive is its acceleration time, as it takes just 2.9 seconds to go from a standstill to 100km/h.

However, the McLaren is not the only supercar with impressive performance figures to its name.

Right behind it is the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, which can accomplish a near identical 340km/h, though with a slower acceleration time of 3.3 seconds.

The British automaker has another high-performance model in third place with the Aston Martin DB11 V12 AMR which is only 6km slower at 334km/h, and takes just 0.5 seconds longer to go from 0-100km/h.

In fourth place is a surprising entry with Bentley – a brand more commonly associated with luxurious grand tourers.

The Continental, specifically the W12 Mulliner model, can keep up with the best of them, with virtually identical speed and acceleration figures as the DB11.

Finally, in fifth place is a long-running staple of the supercar scene with the Porsche 911, as the Turbo S coupe model maxes out at 330km/h, with a lightning-fast acceleration time of only 2.7 seconds.

Other brands to feature cars with impressive performance stats include Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lexus, Nissan, Jaguar, and Toyota.
