21 new cars launching in South Africa in the next 3 months

Motoring enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to over the next three months with at least 21 new cars scheduled to make an appearance between now and the middle of the South African winter.

The local car scene has already received its fair share of exciting models this year, such as the new Mahindra Scorpio, VW Amarok, Ford Ranger Raptor, BMW X1, Renault Captur, Proton Saga, and Haval Jolion S and HEV.

Other vehicles such as the VW Polo Vivo GT, Hyundai Palisade, Fiat 500X, Toyota Corolla Cross, and Toyota Hilux, all received updates to their range either in the form of a facelift or by adding new features as standard.

Unfortunately, a handful of models were also discontinued, including the Hyundai Atos, Kia Rio, Ford EcoSport, Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Toyota Urban Cruiser.

With the first three months of the year already gone, auto companies are turning their attention to the next financial quarter with a diverse range of new units lined up, from bakkies and hatchbacks to hybrids and battery electrics.
