Chery has launched the new Tiggo 7 Pro Max in South Africa, taking its place as the flagship of the line-up and being available in three specifications with prices ranging from R529,900 to R609,900.
For this price, you get a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which connects to a seven-speed automatic gearbox to produce 145kW and 290Nm.
Depending on the variant, power is sent to either the front or to all four wheels, with fuel consumption working out to 7.0l or 7.8l/100km, respectively, and all models have Eco, Normal, Sport, Snow, Muddy, and Off-Road drive settings.
You can also expect a set of “angel” automatic LED headlights and daytime running lights, 18 or 19-inch alloy wheels (depending on the trim level), artificial leather upholstery, a 24.6-inch curved dual-display with smartphone pairing, heated front sport seats, an eight-speaker Sony sound system, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an electric tailgate, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and a wireless charger.
The top-spec Tiggo additionally comes with driving assistance features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, front and rear collision warnings, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and a rear cross-traffic alert.
Each of the Chery includes a 5-year/150,000km general warranty, a 10-year/1-million kilometre engine warranty, and a 5-year/60,000km service plan.
