Every Ford on sale in South Africa at the start of 2024 – Pricing
Ford has a grand total of 44 different cars on sale in South Africa as of January 2024, with prices ranging from R494,400 all the way up to R1,224,900.
The Blue Oval is one of the country’s best-selling carmakers, consistently pulling off well over 2,000 showroom success stories every month.
The American automaker has seen some rather drastic changes to its line-up in recent years, however, as it has shifted away from passenger cars to almost exclusively focus on its selection of SUVs and light-commercial options.
This has resulted in the loss of all Ford hatchbacks in South Africa such as the Figo, Focus, and Fiesta, and the affordable EcoSport crossover was also put out to pasture around the midpoint of 2023.
To compensate for the absence of these models, the company has since introduced the Puma premium crossover, which will be followed up by the new Territory SUV later this year that should slot under the Everest in terms of size and price.
Of course, Ford’s headline unit is the Ranger bakkie, which accounts for the lion’s share of the brand’s local sales, with the Ranger making up 2,234 units of the 2,910 units sold by the brand in December 2023.
Other than that, you have the carmaker’s selection of vans like the Transit and Tourneo, as well as the iconic Mustang muscle car with its enormous 5.0-litre engine.
