New ARCFOX T1 all-electric crossover launches in South Africa – with an incredible deal for the first 100 buyers
BAIC has launched its brand-new all-electric ARCFOX T1 in South Africa at the affordable starting price of R3,999 per month, or a retail price of R359,900.
It is also offering an incredible deal to South Africans: the first 100 buyers will receive a complimentary charging card worth R7,000 when they register on eNATIS.
Even if you miss out on being one of the first 100 buyers, you will still be eligible for a complimentary charging card with a face value of R5,000 per vehicle.
On top of that, BAIC has partnered with Absa, giving qualifying ARCFOX T1 buyers access to Absa Vehicle Finance, through which they can qualify for R5,000 cash back.

Features and safety
The ARCFOX T1 just launched in South Africa, and it is one of the most affordable electric vehicles on the market.
Owned by the BAIC Group, ARCFOX specialises in new-energy vehicles, and the T1 is its first model to hit the South African market.
The ARCFOX T1 is a fully electric crossover that offers a fresh new look with geometric detailing and a distinctive presence.
Semi-concealed door handles, black window trim and side mirrors, angular rear lights, and a full-width rear light bar all add to the stylish look.
It offers excellent safety and driver enhancement features, too.
For superior occupant safety, its A-pillars, B-pillars, and sills are built out of 1,500 MPa ultra-high-strength steel, ensuring excellent structural integrity.
Furthermore, automatic emergency braking, collision warnings, and lane departure warnings help to keep you and your family safe while on the road.
The driving experience is then enhanced by a wide range of features that also help to improve safety.
These include a 540-degree camera system to check your surroundings when parking, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, automatic parking, and reverse path memory assist.
Interior accessories
The new T1 offers all the features you need to improve your daily commute, including an 8.8-inch digital instrument display for the driver and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen for cabin functions.
The driver and passengers will also appreciate its 32 storage spaces, which include seven smartphone holders, five hooks, and an adjustable boot floor with a concealed 74-litre compartment.
Its boot is incredibly spacious, too, offering 459 litres of storage that can be expanded to 1,352 by dropping the seats.
Two models
The BAIC ARCFOX T1 is available in two models – the Pro and the Max.
Both offer the same drivetrain – an electric motor that produces 70 kW of power and 176 Nm of torque, providing a responsive feel when you pull away.
The ARCFOX T1 Max adds a range of features, including a panoramic sunroof, two more speakers (six total), a four-way electric front passenger seat, and heated and ventilated front seats.
