New limited-edition Ford Territory goes on sale in South Africa – Pricing and features

Ford has officially launched the new Territory Dark Edition in South Africa.
The newcomer is a limited-edition model meant to capitalize on the success of the family SUV, adding a number of exclusive details to the range-topping Titanium specification.
The Dark Edition has a starting price of R733,000, making it just R7,500 more expensive than the Titanium.
Features
As its name suggests, the Dark Edition boasts a variety of unique cosmetics, including a satin black grille, high-gloss black skid plates and mirror caps, and new fog lamp accents.
It also has a two-tone black roof, roof rails, and 19-inch Ebony Black alloy wheels.
You’ll also find an exclusive black Territory badge on the rear of the car.
Complementing the various black accents is one of four body colour options, comprising Crystal Pearl White, Lustrous Grey, Panther Black and Ruby Red.
The dark theme carries over to the interior, where you’ll find a charcoal black headliner and pillars set against black perforated leather seats, door trim, and panel inserts with a yellow contrasting pattern.
The instrument panel also has a new high-gloss black strip that frames the dual 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen.
The rest of the spec sheet is identical to the flagship Titanium, meaning it comes with automatic LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry and start, electronically-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, four USB ports, eight speakers, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
All of this is in addition to a safety and assistance suite that includes blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, electronic stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags.
Engine

Every model in the Territory lineup is equipped with a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which generates 138kW and 318Nm.
This is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which sends power down to the front wheels.
This results in an average fuel consumption of 7.0l/100km.
It also has an Auto Stop/Start function and driving modes for Eco, Normal, Sport and Mountain.
