New exclusive Range Rovers announced for South Africa – Pricing and features

Jaguar Land Rover has pulled the covers off a series of London-inspired Range Rovers that are available in South Africa.

The models are named after different boroughs of the English capital, with each borough inspiring a different model in the Range Rover line-up.

The series comprises the Range Rover Evoque Hoxton Edition, Range Rover Velar Belgravia Edition and Range Rover Sport Battersea Edition, joined by the Range Rover Westminster Edition.

Hannah Custance, Range Rover Materiality Senior Manager, explained that the London-inspired editions represent the enduring “dialogue” between the city and the brand.

“Each borough we drew inspiration from served as a vibrant muse – chosen for its rich British heritage, iconic modern architecture, or its role as an epicentre of London’s creative scene,” she said.

“Through our craft in materiality design, we sought to encapsulate the spirit of these culturally significant neighbourhoods through thoughtful, refined details in each Edition, delivered across the entire Range Rover line-up.”

Features

Each of these models is a cosmetic upgrade of their existing respective ranges, instead of entirely new models.

For that reason, what sets them apart is their inspiration, while their drivetrains and configurations are identical to the existing ones.

The first in the London-inspired line-up is the Evoque Hoxton Edition, featuring ‘Hoxton Edition’ badging across the exterior lower door sill, as well as scripting illuminated in the puddle lamp.

Its exterior features unique design touches, including new 20-inch Satin Gold wheels and the Platinum Atlas exterior styling pack.

The interior features leather seats with contrast stitching, illuminated Hoxton Edition treadplates, and brushed black aluminium finishes.

The Evoque Hoxton Edition is available in a range of conventional internal combustion models, as well as a plug-in electric hybrid, which is standard across the rest of the London editions.

The next model in the line-up is the Velar Belgravia Edition, which features a modern exterior finish with 20-inch diamond turned Dark Agate wheels with a Satin Black tinted lacquer.

It also features the signature ‘Belgravia Edition’ lettering across the lower door sill, joined by a black brushed aluminium finisher and unique puddle lights with leather seats featuring precision-crafted contrast stitching.

Next up is the Range Rover Sport Battersea Edition, which Land Rover says celebrates the model that redefined Range Rover as a multi-model line-up.

This edition adds bold design cues, including a black contrast roof and black exterior pack, as well as 22-inch black forged wheels.

The Battersea Edition features exclusive interior finishes, including ‘Battersea Edition’ etching on the centre console and treadplates and distinctive contrast stitching woven into the seats.

At the top of the range is the Range Rover Westminster Edition, which features distinctive ‘Westminster Edition’ badging and 22-inch diamond turned wheels.

The Westminster Edition is finished with exclusive, curated metallic paint as standard, and adds Meridian 3D audio and a sliding panoramic roof.
