Audi driving experience returns to South Africa – Dates and pricing

The Audi driving experience is making a return to South Africa in 2024 with multiple events scheduled to take place at the Kyalami Gran Prix Circuit in Gauteng.

The experience was officially relaunched in 2023 and received widespread enthusiasm from fans, prompting Audi South Africa to bring the service back again this year with three openings that will take place between July and November.

“The Audi driving experience is not just a track day; it’s a premium, performance-based, advanced, full-day driving programme meticulously designed to unleash the potential of Audi driving technology,” said the company.

What to expect

The Audi driving experience is all about teaching individuals to hone their driving skills on a track while behind the wheel of one of the brand’s full-fledged RS performance models.

This includes various skill programmes that focus on things like cornering techniques, braking and accelerating, mastering an ideal driving line, and learning how the weight of a car shifts in high-speed environments.

Attendants are able to drive a variety of RS models, including the RS3 Sportback and sedan, the RS4 Avant, and the RS5 Sportback, around South Africa’s famous Gran Prix circuit.

Each person is paired with another attendant, and will be kept in communication with their assigned instructor over a radio.

The instruction team consists of advanced driving professionals with years of experience in the automotive industry and multiple qualifications to ensure participants’ safety and that everyone receives high-quality training.

“We’re delighted to bring this exciting event back to Johannesburg, giving enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the thrill of our RS models and hone their driving skills on the iconic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.”

Dates and pricing

The one-day event takes place at the Kyalami Raceway in Midrand, Gauteng in July, September, and November, and is available over the following periods:

• Event 1 –  17 to 21 July
• Event 2 – 25 to 29 September
• Event 3 –  20 to 24 November

The programme runs from 08h30 to 16h30 each day, and prices for experience start at R16,100 per person. 

Bookings for each event close seven days prior to the starting date.

Audi is also offering a complimentary voucher for the driving experience to all new RS owners who have bought their car since 1 March 2024, which is valid for a period of two years from the date of delivery.
