New Toyota Hilux Raider for South Africa – Pricing and specifications
Toyota has launched the facelifted Hilux Raider in South Africa in Xtra Cab and Double Cab guises.
The revised bakkie is now on sale in 10 specifications from a starting price of R563,200.
Specifications
The updated Hilux Raider sees a light sprinkling of cosmetic changes encompassing a new honeycomb-pattern grille in matte black, black fog lamp bezels, a colour-coded front bumper, black side mirrors, and a black rear bumper.
Standard features on the new Raiders comprise a multifunction steering wheel, a multi-information driver’s display, an 8.8-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two or four speakers depending on the body style, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, hill-assist control, trailer sway control, ABS with brake assist, seven airbags, and a limited-slip differential.
Once again, the 2.8GD-6 options are further set apart by keyless entry and start, leather upholstery, an electric driver’s seat, voice commands, six speakers, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, downhill assist, and a pre-crash system that detects an imminent collision and activates emergency braking and seatbelt bracing to reduce potential damages.
Engine options for the Raider family remain unchanged, with buyers given a choice between three powertrains in manual or automatic guises and 4×2 or 4×4.
