Ferrari has revealed the new 488 GT Modificata, a racing car for use during track days and at Ferrari Club Competizioni GT events.
The car uses technology developed for the 488 GT3 and 488 GTE, and features an upgraded twin-turbo V8 engine which produces 514kW.
“The gearbox, available with different transmission ratios, and the carbon-fibre clutch help to manage the increased power and torque delivered by the engine,” said Ferrari.
Other additions to the 488 GT Modificata include revamped, high-downforce aerodynamics and a carbon fibre body – except for the aluminium roof and uprights.
A braking system developed in partnership with Brembo, an ABS system taken from the 488 GT3 Evo 2020, and a V-Box acquisition system have also been included in the car.
A high-resolution rear-view camera, second seat, and TPMS system for measuring tyre temperature and pressure all come as standard, added Ferrari.
The 488 GT Modificata will be produced in a very limited series, and will initially only be available to drivers who have participated in Competizioni GT with Ferrari or Club Competizioni GT in recent years.
