FlySafair is currently offering a major discount on all its flights in South Africa, but you’ll have to act quickly if you want to get a bargain on a ticket.
The airline is running a promotional sale that slashes the price of all domestic flights by 30%, but the discount is only available until the end of today.
Act fast if you want to save
FlySafair’s 30% off promotional sale is only valid for today (Wednesday, 14 August) and will close at midnight.
The deal allows users who visit the company’s website to book tickets for any domestic flight in South Africa within the next month, from 15 August to 17 September.
Since FlySafair’s promotions are in such high demand, anyone who visits the website today will be redirected to a page that will issue them with a queue number.
Once you are able to enter the site, you have 10 minutes to book your tickets before the queue number expires and you will have to refresh the page and receive a new number.
To get a better sense of what people can save with the 30% discount, we looked at return flights for five of South Africa’s most popular routes, booked for one week from Saturday 24 to 31 August.
These were the cheapest options available for each trip:
Flight | Cheapest price | Amount saved |
---|---|---|
Cape Town – Joburg | R1,763.80 | R639.20 |
Cape Town – Durban | R1,624.50 | R579.50 |
Durban – Joburg | R1,271.70 | R428.31 |
Joburg – East London | R1,203.10 | R398.89 |
Joburg – Port Elizabeth | R1,273.80 | R429.20 |
The discount is also compatible with all ticket options, including Lite (no checked luggage), Standard, and Business Class.
More plans on the horizon
FlySafair is continuing to expand its operations in South Africa with new flight options and better prices for customers.
In April, the airline launched a new route from Cape Town International to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, helping to boost tourism to the Kruger National Park.
The success of this first option then prompted the air service to open a similar route from O.R Tambo International in Gauteng to the Kruger Airport earlier this month.
It has also stated that prices are expected to improve this summer thanks to improvements in seat capacity as the airline sector finally normalizes to pre-Covid operating levels.
