Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new V300d Exclusive to the South African market.
The people mover features unique cosmetic and functional enhancements over its stablemates and is priced at R2,267,767 in the domestic market, positioning it as the second-most-expensive model in the V-Class family behind the V300d Special Edition.
What you get
The V-Class Exclusive boasts a distinctive exterior design underscored by a large radiator grille framed by an LED light band, sitting atop a robustly designed bumper.
It also proudly displays an upright three-pointed star on the hood, a hallmark of the most prestigious Mercedes-Benz models.
In addition, it is equipped with adaptive Multibeam LED headlights with elegant daytime running lights, while chrome finishes and a distinctive rear bumper add to its allure.
Finally, the Exclusive rolls on Monobloc light-alloy wheels measuring 19 inches which is wholly unique to this model.
Seven exterior hues are available to buyers of the seven-figure Mercedes, including Dark Graphite Grey Metallic, High-tech Silver Metallic, Hyacinth Red Metallic, Kalahari Gold Metallic, Obsidian Black Metallic, Rock Crystal White Metallic, and Sodalite Blue Metallic.
The V-Class’ interior is equally opulent.
It comes with six individual leather-wrapped seats with a fold-out table in the rear that creates a lounge-like experience while 64-colour ambient lighting supplies a soothing atmosphere.
For those seeking added indulgence, the V300d offers a luxury seating option with reclining and massaging functions for up to five passengers plus the driver.
Standard equipment includes keyless entry and start, two 12.3-inch widescreen displays for the driver and infotainment functions, a 360-degree camera system, driver attention assist, adaptive cruise control, active brake assist with cross-traffic functionality, blind-spot assist, active lane-keeping assist, active parking assist, and the trailer manoeuvring assistant.
Powering Mercedes’ newest creation is a 2.0-litre, turbocharged diesel motor with 174kW and 500Nm on tap, combined with a nine-speed automatic gearbox that twists the rear axle.
It rides on the Agility Control suspension system, too, which enhances comfort by continuously adapting the damping characteristics to varying road conditions.
The new V-Class is accompanied by a comprehensive PremiumDrive Plan which offers service interval options for five, six, and seven years, covering distances from 100,000 to 140,000km.
