Volvo Car South Africa has announced that it will be bringing the new EX30 Cross Country model to South Africa in the third quarter of 2025.
The EX30 Cross Country is a more rugged derivative of the popular EX30 electric crossover, and features several enhancements over the base model.
These include a front shield and boot lid that are finished in a unique dark colour, while other new stylings include more muscular skid plates and wheel arch extensions.
The vehicle also has an increased ride height over the base model, while its 19-inch alloy wheels are finished in matte graphite, with matte black aero inserts.
According to Volvo, the EX30 Cross Country will be available in South Africa exclusively in its Ultra Twin Performance configuration, which offers the full range of luxury and convenience features.
These include a heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, and over 15 driver assistance features.
Additional accessories that can be added to personalise the vehicle include bespoke mudflaps, a load carrier, and a roof basket.
Performance

Under the hood, or rather, the floorboards, the EX30 Cross Country has a range of 427km, which the company describes as “more than enough range to cover great distances.”
The vehicle’s battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 26 minutes, too.
For your off-road adventuring, the EX30 Cross Country comes with all-wheel drive as standard, ensuring traction on loose surfaces like dirt and gravel.
Pricing and additional local specifications will be revealed closer to the vehicle’s launch.
“The EX30 Cross Country builds on everything people love about the EX30, adding rugged capability and distinctive design details,” said Felipe Yagi, Head of Marketing and Communications at Volvo Car South Africa.
“It’s a refined, all-electric SUV that feels equally at home on gravel roads or in the city, offering South Africans a practical way to go further with confidence.”
