Mahindra has introduced a limited-edition Adventure specification for the Scorpio SUV in South Africa.
This trim features unique off-road bumpers, wheels, and tyres; alongside a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine.
The S11 badge then assures that the rugged SUV offers a range of modern equipment inside the cabin.
Features
As standard, the Mahindra Scorpio S11 Adventure is fitted with specifially-designed steel bumpers that integrate into the body of the SUV, while simultaneously increasing entry, exit, and breakover angles for enhanced off-road performance.
The bumpers are equipped with a tow bar and pre-fitted with recovery hooks and high-lift jacking points, with the front end also featuring integrated fog lamps.
In addition, the Scorpio receives all-terrain tyres with hardened, machine-edged, 17-inch alloy wheels.
Once inside, this Mahindra offers a leather multifunction steering wheel, partial-leather seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, all-round electric windows, and a reverse camera.
It also comes with a 7-inch infotainment display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as voice commands.
Luggage capacity for the Scorpio totals 928 litres in five-seater mode, which can be increased to 1,664 litres with the rear seats down.
Performance
At the heart of the Scorpio S11 Adventure lies a 2.2-litre, turbo-diesel, “mHawk” engine that pairs to a six-speed manual transmission.
The engine delivers 103kW and 320Nm to all four wheels, and allows the ability to shift between high-range and low-range gears at speeds of up to 100km/h.
Combined fuel consumption for this drivetrain comes in at 7.3l/100km, and a maximum braked towing capacity of 1,900kg is supported.
The ladder-frame chassis and suspension set-up further provides up to 195mm of suspension travel, 165mm of ground clearance, and a maximum water wading depth of 800mm.
Price
The new Mahindra Scorpio S11 Adventure 4×4 has a South African price of R416,999.
Each purchase includes a 4-year/120,000km warranty and a 5-year/90,000km service plan.
