The Toyota Rumion seven-seater MPV has gone on sale in South Africa, at a starting price of R245,600.
The Rumion is available in three specification grades – S, Sx, and Tx – with a 1.5-litre engine powering the range.
Equipment
The entry-level Toyota Rumion S offers a black grille, door handles, and mirrors; 15-inch steel wheels; black interior finishes; fabric seats; urethane steering wheel; manual air-conditioner; electric windows; multi-information driver’s display; ABS; and two airbags as standard.
These models do not have a radio system, speakers, or an alarm and immobiliser installed.
The more expensive Sx and Tx trims then come with a chrome grille; body-coloured door handles and mirrors; rear window wiper; multifunction steering wheel; rear air conditioning vents; Bluetooth-capable radio with four speakers; an alarm and immobiliser; and rear parking sensors.
The range-topping Tx is further differentiated through the fitment of 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, wheel mudguards, keyless entry, a faux-wood interior finish, an automatic air conditioner, a leather steering wheel, the Toyota Display Audio infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reverse camera, and six speakers.
Cargo capacity for each Rumion comes in at 550 litres in five-seater mode.

Drive is handled by either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, depending on the model, with combined fuel consumption coming in at 6.2l/100km across the range.
