Citroen C3 Aircross – Updated compact SUV for R399,000

The Citroen C3 Aircross has been updated with a new front-end, new colour inserts, and “greater traveling comfort”.

The new C3 Aircross is available locally in two specifications – Shine and Feel – with an upgraded infotainment system, extra storage spaces, and a host of driving aids forming part of the refreshed equipment list.

What’s new

The new C3 Aircross features an entirely redesigned front-end, which incorporates more pronounced chrome chevrons, thin LED daytime running lights, a new grille, and a silver-grey skid plate with coloured inserts.

A range of customisation options is also available on the upgraded Aircross, including five body colours, two 16-inch wheel options, two roof colours, and one colour pack that features a textured white paint.

Inside, this compact SUV boasts a high level of modularity to enhance practicality.

The rear bench is capable of sliding 150mm to the front or back, which increases maximum cargo capacity in five-seater mode from 410 litres to 520 litres.

With the rear seats down, maximum cargo capacity then comes in at 1,289 litres.

Additionally, it sees a dual-height boot that provides a flat floor when the rear seats are down.

This allows objects of up to 2.4m in length to be transported in the cabin, while a new storage cubby in the transmission tunnel – covered by a roller shutter – is easily accessible from both rows of seating.

In terms of cabin equipment, this new Citroen offers a multifunction steering wheel, fabric seats, an air conditioner, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Citroen Connect Nav, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

Certain models are also fitted with a heads-up display, speed sign recognition with recommendations, emergency brake assist, automatic headlights, driver attention alert, keyless entry and start, park assist, and hill-start assist.

Powering the C3 Aircross range is a 1.2-litre, turbo-petrol motor generating 81kW – connected to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
