Suzuki has launched a new mid-range specification for its Vitara Brezza compact SUV – called the S-Edition – which starts at R266,900.
“Designed to fit between the GL and GLX models, the S-Edition is an addition to the range and will be available with a choice of manual or automatic transmission,” said Suzuki.
This trim is based on the entry-level GL and brings a host of styling accessories to give it a differentiated look.
What’s new
The new Vitara Brezza S-Edition sports a “patterned cubic chrome” grille along with silver highlights on the front and rear fenders – in contrast to the rest of the range’s bright chrome grille and dark skid plates.
The silver-and-black theme continues with the stainless steel door-sill guards and 16-inch alloy wheels – and flows into the cabin with silver finishing on the dash and doors.
“Called Uber Life Silver, this silver finish runs from rear door to rear door, all along the dashboard,” said Suzuki.
Optionally available to buyers of the S-Edition are a roof spoiler extension, wheel arch cladding, carbon fibre-look side mirrors, carbon fibre-look black and red side cladding, and hard-wearing rubber floor mats.
Equipment
Standard equipment in the Vitara Brezza S-Edition is the same as those on the GL, comprising a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reverse camera, a multifunction steering wheel, climate control, electric mirrors, rear parking sensors, driver-seat height adjustment, and dual airbags.
Powering the SUV is a 1.5-litre, petrol engine generating 77kW and 138Nm, paired to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox.
The setup drives the front wheels and achieves a combined fuel consumption of 6.2l/100km.
Price
The addition of the S-Edition trim brings the local Suzuki Vitara Brezza line-up to a total of six models.
