Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR) South Africa has announced that local customers can now purchase its vehicles through a new e-commerce platform.
The platform offers the ability to view and compare technical details online; as well as reserve vehicles, apply for finance pre-approvals, schedule test drives, request trade-in value estimates, and complete purchase transactions.
Moreover, customers now have the opportunity to view and order models that are set for future manufacturing dates, and upon approved reservation, they will be kept updated with step-by-step information on the build commencement, production progress, shipping schedules, expected arrival in market, and final delivery dates via the websites.
The launch of the e-commerce platforms is a response from JLR which recognised a shift in the way its clients are “researching, buying, and using vehicles,” said Richard Gouverneur, JLR managing director.
“This is an important element in our aspirations toward modern luxury, which will allow us to create inspirational, exclusive, and curated experiences for our clients.”
What’s available
The new e-commerce platforms list all the new Jaguar or Land Rover inventory nationwide, thereby giving buyers “a much wider variety of immediately available and upcoming Range Rover, Discovery, Defender, and Jaguar vehicles from any Jaguar Land Rover retailer in the country” instead of just their most convenient dealership.
At the time of writing, Jaguar has 21 listings across its four model ranges comprising:
- E-Pace – 6 listings from R1,112,600
- F-Pace – 6 listings from R2,066,000
- F-Type – 8 listings from R1,868,700
- I-Pace – 1 listing from R2,202,860
At the time of writing, Land Rover has 489 listings across its seven model ranges comprising:
- Defender – 201 listings from R1,589,900
- Discovery – 7 listings from R1,785,050
- Discovery Sport – 23 listings from R1,165,100
- Range Rover – 94 listings from R2,982,900
- Range Rover Evoque – 40 listings from R1,238,400
- Range Rover Sport – 114 listings from R2,098,070
- Range Rover Velar – 10 listings from R1,740,000
Each purchase of a new JLR vehicle is accompanied by a 5-year/100,000km warranty and maintenance plan with roadside assistance.
The new online shopping sites exist alongside the traditional brand websites, at buy.landrover.co.za and buy.jaguar.co.za, respectively.
