Audi advanced driving experience in South Africa for 5 months – Pricing

Audi’s advanced driving classes are returning to South Africa with a series of “pop-up events” that will run between July and November, the automaker announced.

These events are taking place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Gauteng, Plaaspad Racetrack in the Western Cape, and Dezzi South Coast Raceway in Kwa-Zulu Natal.

The launch price for the advanced driving sessions is set at R9,500 and interested individuals can book their spots or find out more through the dedicated Audi driving experience website.

“We are thrilled to announce the re-launch of the Audi driving experience in South Africa,” said Sascha Sauer, Head of Audi South Africa.

“With its reintroduction, the Audi driving experience will be focused solely on delivering an unforgettable high-performance driving experience. However, going into 2024 and beyond, Audi has ambitious plans to expand their offering through additional driving adventures.”

Experience RS and e-tron

The Audi driving experience will give fans of the four rings an opportunity to get behind the wheel of the brand’s most desirable cars, including the high-performance RS models as well as the all-electric e-trons.

The cars that will be available include:

The driving programme will be spearheaded by Mark Allison, a “key member and lead instructor” of the Audi driving experience team in Neuburg, Germany, and it aims to teach motorists about safe driving techniques and managing powerful cars in a controlled environment.

The full-day course includes a comprehensive safety briefing, which is followed by training sessions where participants are allowed to drive the cars around a track.

“During these sessions, attendees will run through various laps specially designed to enhance understanding of cornering technique, braking and acceleration, the ideal driving line, and the impact of weight shifting on the vehicle,” concludes Sauer.
