World Rallycross Championship coming to South Africa – Ticket prices

The FIA World Rallycross (RX) Championship is coming back to South Africa, with a double-header event scheduled for the Killarney International Raceway in Cape Town.
The event will take place on the 7th and 8th of October 2023, and tickets are now available for purchase online, or in-store at any Pick n Pay nationwide.
What to expect
Hot on the tail of the first Formula E race in Africa that graced Cape Town earlier this year, the upcoming rallycross event will feature a line-up of all-electric high-performance cars competing against each other on a track that consists of both tarmac and dirt sections.
These vehicles are capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in a blistering 1.8 seconds, making them faster than a Formula 1 car, said Iaian Banner, the chairman of World Rallycross of South Africa, in a recent interview on Cape Talk.
The race will feature automakers like Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Subaru, who will each be using a twin-motor rally car with 500kW and 800Nm at their disposal.
The Cape Town-hosted event will be the second last stop in the current series, before the championship caps off the season with a finale in Hong Kong.
The rallycross event will use approximately half of the Killarney circuit, while the remainder of the course will use a relatively new dirt RX track that was implemented in 2017, according to Banner.
