JAC Motors has just announced that it will be extending its warranty and service plan on all of its workhorse vehicles in South Africa as part of a move to enhance its customer after-sales support.
“This decisive step reinforces the company’s confidence in its products and guarantees peace-of-mind motoring, even in the most challenging conditions,” said the company.
The new support plans will affect the entry-level T6 bakkie, as well as the X200 light- and the N56 medium-commercial truck.
Extended peace of mind
For the diesel-powered T6, JAC now provides a 5-year/100,000km service plan, in contrast to the previous 5-year/60,000km plan.
This is in addition to a standard 5-year/150,000km manufacturer’s warranty, which comprises a 5-year/100,000km mechanical warranty with another 50,000km for the drivetrain specifically, and all of this is covered by 24-hour roadside assistance.
The T6 is available in three specifications priced at R354,900, R369,900, and R419,900, respectively.
The X200 series of light-commercial vehicles (LCVs) currently has three models on the market in South Africa, retailing for R344,900, R364,900, and R384,900, all of which use a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine.
These units will now be covered by a 7-year/200,000km manufacturer’s warranty which is broken up into two elements – the first of which is a comprehensive 5-year/100,000km warranty covering all essential mechanical components such as the diesel pump, turbocharger, and injectors.
Extending this is another 2-year/100,000km powertrain warranty that will cover the internal engine, gearbox, and differential components, and the entire 7-year/200,000km period is protected by a 24-hour roadside assistance plan.
The final unit to benefit from the extended after-sale support is the N56 3.0-tonne truck, which is accompanied by a new 5-year/150,000km manufacturer’s warranty that, like the T6, is broken into a 5-year/100,000km mechanical warranty with an additional 50,000km powertrain warranty – all of which is included in the purchase price alongside 24-hour roadside assistance.
The 2.8-litre turbo-diesel N56 is sold in both chassis and dropside variations with prices starting at R314,900 and R329,900, respectively.
“Our light commercial workhorses, respected for their efficient performance and reliability, are our cornerstone products with a loyal customer base,” said Karl-Heinz Göbel, Chief Executive Officer of JAC Motors South Africa.
“Now we provide added peace of mind at no extra cost to new customers joining the JAC Motors family.”
