WeBuyCars announces 4-day Black Friday special

WeBuyCars (WBC) is running a four-day “Spin the Wheel” campaign as part of this year’s Black Friday weekend at all 15 branches nationwide, starting today, the 24th, and running until Monday, the 27th.

Customers who purchase a vehicle in cash or through financing from any WBC outlet during the campaign period will have an opportunity to spin an electronic wheel to stand a chance to receive a discount.

The discounts vary between the locations with potential savings of up to R20,000 up for grabs.

“There is no limitation on the vehicle’s price, every customer who is buying a car cash or via finance from WBC will have the opportunity to spin the wheel and potentially unlock additional savings,” said Rikus Blomerus, WBC chief marketing officer.

“We believe in adding extra excitement to our customers’ car-buying journey, yet we also know that consumers are under financial pressure and any car purchase is a big-ticket item. The Spin the Wheel campaign is our way of making someone’s car dream come true during Black Friday.”

Like last year, WBC is also running a Black Friday auction event between 24 and 26 November where all bids start at R1 with no reserve.

The options range from B-rated vehicles with questionable histories, to near-new A-rated autos with a sparkling record.

As of the time of writing, the Friday lots include a 2016 Jaguar F-Type R Convertible with a 5.0-litre V8 powerplant that is going for R658,000 with an hour and a half left to bid.

There is also a 2021 Ford Ranger XL Super Cab, the 2.2-litre version, that someone is hoping to swoop up at a relatively low R282,000.

At the other end of the spectrum, WBC is auctioning off a 1997 Honda Ballade that is in an impressive state considering it has done over 213,000 kilometres over the past 26 years, and it is currently in the running for R45,000.

The normal auction rules apply for the Black Friday sales which are available here, and participants must register before they can put up any bids.
