The Automechanika international trade fair for the automotive service industry is set to return to the Johannesburg Expo Centre from 15-18 March 2022.
“Due to the global pandemic and lockdown restrictions in South Africa, we are unable to host the seventh edition of Automechanika Johannesburg in 2021,” said Joshua Low, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt South Africa.
The event that took place in 2019 featured 23 international exhibiting countries, 140 business-to-business meetings, and 18,422 square metres of exhibition space.
It was an “unprecedented” meeting place for the automotive world, the largest event of its kind hosted in South Africa, and remains the largest automotive aftermarket show on the continent – according to the company.
The four-day Automechanika Johannesburg 2022 event will be the place for industry participants to attend free skills development workshops, witness an array of new product launches, and experience local and international exhibiting companies showcasing their latest product innovations.
“The 2022 edition of Automechanika Johannesburg will be supported by a comprehensive seminar and skills development programme to encourage upskilling of employees and the development of innovative products and processes,” said Low.
