New special-edition Nissan Navara for South Africa – Pricing and specifications

After years of rumours, Nissan has finally launched the Navara Warrior in South Africa.
Developed in partnership with Australian firm Premcar, the Navara Warrior is a bespoke version of the popular double cab engineered to offer improved performance, greater utility, and a more rugged design.
“The Navara has always been a standout contender in this category, but Premcar has taken it a step further by engineering perhaps the toughest and most durable Navara yet, setting a new standard for off-road capabilities and performance,” said Maciej Klenkiewicz, Managing Director for Nissan South Africa.
“The Warrior pushes the boundaries of what’s possible within the premium pickup segment, meeting Africa’s demand for vehicles capable of handling the roughest roads while remaining refined and comfortable enough to drive every day.”
The Warrior sells from a starting price of R924,000, an R80,000 premium over the current flagship model.
The price includes a 6-year/150,000km warranty on the vehicle and all Warrior-related modifications, as well as a 6-year/90,000km service plan.
Klenkiewicz further divulged that, later this year, Nissan will introduce another special edition to complement the 2025 Navara line-up.

The ultimate Navara
The new Navara Warrior sports an upgraded suspension system providing higher ground clearance, improved spring rates, and recalibrated dampers for maximum wheel articulation and control.
Ride height is now pegged at 232mm versus the 221mm of the standard bakkie, enabling the souped-up Navara to traverse tricky terrains with greater ease.
Additionally, the front and rear tracks have been widened for increased stability off the beaten path.
The unique 17-inch rims are shod with MAXXIS RAZR all-terrain tyres, lending the Warrior superior traction and durability compared to its siblings while maintaining comfort levels for normal road conditions.
A revised rear suspension setup further enhances load stability, ensuring that cargo remains secure even on uneven surfaces.
The bakkie holds on to the 2.5-litre, turbo-diesel powerplant of its siblings which generates a dependable 140kW and 450Nm.
The propulsion unit is matched with a seven-speed automatic box, which feeds drive to all four wheels.

Styling-wise, the Warrior wears a blacked-out front grille, door handles, roof rack, side steps, and wheels.
Red accents can be found in a number of areas on the bodywork, and the Nissan badge sees a striking black-and-red theme.
Moving inside, the double cab gets Warrior-branded seats in black with red contrast stitching, an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a configurable 7-inch driver display, and dual-zone climate control.
Other standout nice-to-haves include forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and an intelligent around-view monitor with an off-road mode that delivers a bird’s-eye perspective of the vehicle’s surroundings.
Hill-start assist and hill-descent control are included, too, which help the driver safely navigate steep slopes.
