Toyota South Africa has launched an e-commerce platform for its local customers.
This online store is called Shop Toyota and is targeted both at Toyota owners and those who are fans of the brand.
Shop Toyota is already live and includes the following products and features:
- Genuine Parts to ensure global brand standards and compatibility.
- Exclusive merchandise, apparel, and lifestyle products for Toyota brand enthusiasts.
- Customised vehicle accessories to enhance vehicle performance and style.
- Secure checkout and nationwide delivery with support from the local dealership.
“The launch of the online store is more than just a new sales channel,” said Desiree Trollope, General Manager for Future Toyota at Toyota South Africa Motors.
“It is a reflection of our vision for the future and our quest to deepen our connection with the Toyota community.”
“We’re embracing digitalisation to bring our customers closer to the brand, offering them the dependability and authenticity they expect, now with the ease of online access and the option to have products delivered to their homes or fitted at their nearest dealership.”
Toyota continues dominance in South Africa
The launch of Shop Toyota comes as the Toyota brand continues to dominate South Africa’s new vehicle market.
For the first six months of 2025, Toyota sold 67,938 units – nearly double the sales of the second-placed brand (Suzuki).
This included the best-selling bakkie in South Africa – the Toyota Hilux, which sold over 16,000 units in the first half of 2025.
