Ford said this allows the Ranger Stormtrak to tow 3,500kg, while its raised body allows for an 800mm water wading depth and 230mm ground clearance.

Additionally, each unit comes with a 4-year/120,000km warranty, a 6-year/90,000km service plan, and 3-year/unlimited kilometre roadside assistance.

Finance payments

To calculate how much you will pay per month to own a top-end Ford Ranger Stormtrak, we used the R846,500 price tag of the 4×4 version.

This was placed into the formula below.

  • Car Price – R846,500
  • Payment Term – 60 terms (5 years)
  • Interest – 9%
  • Deposit – 10%
  • Balloon – No balloon payment
  • Extras – No optional extras

The result is a finance payment of R15,900 per month.

The total amount of interest paid over the agreement is R187,300.

We can also use the same formula to work out how much finance payments are for the more affordable 4×2 version of the Ranger Stormtrak – which sells for R790,300.

Monthly finance payments on this model are R14,800 per month, while the total amount of interest you will pay is R174,900.

It must be noted that these figures exclude insurance premiums and fuel costs, which must be taken into account when working out if you can afford a vehicle.
