The Toyota Hilux is once again South Africa’s best-selling bakkie, according to Naamsa’s new-vehicle sales statistics for November 2021.

The Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max both increased their sales by almost 100 units in November when compared to the previous period, retaining first and second place, respectively.

The Ford Ranger’s sales fell by 198 units – although it kept its spot in third when compared to October.

The aggregate sales numbers for the top 10 best-selling bakkies in South Africa in November came in at 8,490 units – with the top 10 best-selling SUVs totaling 6,788 units.

The best-selling bakkies and SUVs in South Africa are detailed below, ranked by Naamsa’s new vehicle sales figures for November.

Mercedes-Benz and BMW’s SUVs were not included in the comparison as these manufacturers do not report model-specific sales figures.

For reference, BMW sold an estimated total of 635 units in November – with Mercedes-Benz’s sales totaling 454 units.
