At least six major manufacturers in the country offer a variety of driver’s training courses that stretches far beyond the lessons learned in the K53 tests.
This includes BMW, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Toyota, and VW – with the experiences ranging from two-hour safety demonstrations to multi-day 4×4 treks across neighbouring Namibia.
Contrary to popular belief, doing an advanced driving course will not automatically lower your monthly car insurance premium, no matter what the instructor tells you.
However, in the long run, it will assist in you becoming a safer driver, which could lead to fewer claims, and therefore smaller annual hikes in your premium payments.
