Every flight destination offered by South African Airways right now

South African Airways (SAA) is continuing its recovery to becoming a major international airline, as it now offers 11 different domestic and 58 overseas destinations using both its own fleet and through code-share agreements with other airlines.
The state-owned entity that previously went into business rescue in 2019 has been making a rebound as of late, as it was announced in August that the company would be going semi-private with a 51% ownership stake from the newly formed Takatso Aviation Proprietary Limited investment firm, while the Department of Public Enterprises would hold onto the remaining 49%.
Since then, the air service made its relaunch official with an event in Cape Town in October to commemorate its recovery after the Covid-19 shutdown with the introduction of a new flight route to Brazil.
Where to travel
SAA is currently exploring avenues to expand its aircraft fleet, having recently made a deal with SunExpress (an airline that operates as a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines) to lease two Boeing 737-800s.
The company is still looking to acquire more aircraft, but for now, its fleet is able to service a total of 69 different locations around the world.
This includes two destinations in Europe – Frankfurt, Germany, and Zurich, Switzerland, and 19 inter-continental airports in Africa for Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Singapore and Dubai are also popular destinations and stop-overs, and there are multiple options for South America, with Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay.
Eyes on the horizon
These are all of the domestic and international flight destinations currently offered by South African Airways, as listed on its official website.
Note that for the majority of overseas flights, Cape Town International and O.R. Tambo International are the only South African airports available for both departures and arrivals.
