Citroën has unveiled the C3 Hola – a panel van version of the current C3 – to compete in South Africa’s budget panel van segment.
The Model Year 2026 (MY26) C3 received a range of updates, appealing to first-time buyers with its range of new features and accessible price point.
The C3 Hola has its sights set on a completely different market, aiming squarely for South Africa’s small business owners who need efficient and agile delivery vehicles.
Since its launch, the C3 Hola has also become Citroën’s cheapest local offering, and with a price tag of R242,500, it is also one of the most affordable compact panel vans around.
Features
As a modified C3, the Hola shares identical dimensions and exterior features to the latest model, measuring 3,981mm long and 1,733mm wide, with a 2,540mm wheelbase.
It also shares the same 15-inch wheels and LED daytime running lights.
Exterior features that set the Hola apart include a “Hola” badge on the tailgate and C-pillar, and special “Hola” cut-out lettering in the rear cargo divider.
Inside, the C3 Hola shares similarities with the C3 Plus, alongside all of its features and equipment, including a multi-function steering wheel and 10-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and manual air conditioning.
As a commercial vehicle, Citroën has removed the back seats, with the back converted into a cargo area with a rubberised loading area, a grid cargo partition, a cargo net, contra vision rear and side windows, and a fire extinguisher.
The loading area is capable of carrying payloads up to 386kg.
The Citroën C3 Hola is built on the same platform that received a four-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, which features six airbags, electronic brake force distribution (EBD), power steering, and ABS.
Engine
While the rest of the C3 range is available in one of two configurations – a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol motor, and a 1.2-litre turbocharged variant – the Hola features only the former.
This unit produces 60kW and 115Nm, which it sends to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
The combination allows for an average fuel economy of 5.6l/100km, which, coupled with its 45-litre fuel tank, grants business owners a total range of 804km between fuel stops.
