New Ford Territory launched in South Africa – Pricing and features
Ford has officially launched the facelifted Territory SUV in South Africa.
The Territory is a midsize SUV that made its local debut in 2024 and serves as the Blue Oval’s main passenger car.
Now, the carmaker has elected to update the Territory, giving it a revamped look and additional features.
The new Territory is available in three specifications, and prices start at R534,900.
Features
Ford has restyled the SUV with a new grille with horizontal chrome lines, replacing the black hexagonal pattern seen on the outgoing units.
This is flanked on either side by a new set of prominent L-shaped “Laser” LED daytime running lights and LED headlights.
The Territory also has a new trapezoidal front bumper and alloy wheels that range from 18 to 19 inches in size, depending on the trim level.
Buyers have two new colour options to choose from, namely Cactus Grey and Oasis Green.
Inside, the seats have been improved with wider, more supportive headrests for long-distance comfort.
The boot can take 448 litres of luggage, which expands to 1,422 litres when the rear seats are folded.
Up front, there is a redesigned dual 12.3-inch infotainment and driver display, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A dedicated climate control bar is located at the bottom of the touchscreen for easy access.
Arkamys 3D Audio software has also been included for an immersive sound system experience.
Another new feature is that the Territory will now be offered with Ford App connectivity, allowing owners to remotely lock and unlock their vehicle, schedule remote start times, monitor vehicle status and receive vehicle health alerts from their smartphone.
Additionally, the Blue Oval has expanded the list of driving aids to include lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and lane centreing control.
Engine

The Territory has retained its 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol Ecoboost engine, which generates 138kW and 318Nm.
This is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which sends power to the front wheels.
It also has an engine Auto Start-Stop function, which helps to achieve an average combined fuel consumption of 7.4l/100km.

The South African pricing for the new Ford Territory is as follows:

The listed price includes a 4-year/120,000km warranty, a 4-year/unlimited-km roadside assistance plan, and an optional 6-year/90,000km service plan.
