FNB has the cheapest car licence disc renewals in South Africa by a wide margin, but this price is only available for a limited time.
The bank is currently running a promotion on its licence renewal service slashing the cost from R99 to just R69, but it is unclear for how long this reduced price will be available.
Cheapest licence disc renewals in South Africa
The R30 discount on FNB’s disc renewals is the second time that the provider has reduced the cost of its service, as it previously cut the combined price of its administrative and delivery fees from R199 to R99 in 2023.
The standard R99 rate already makes FNB the most affordable disc renewal service in the country alongside the National Traffic Information System (Natis), making the bank by far the most wallet-friendly option now that the additional discount is being applied.
The service is the result of a collaboration between First National Bank and the Road Traffic Management Corporation and allows the bank’s customers to use their mobile apps to renew their discs after loading their car onto the nav»Car platform.
They can then pay for their disc using their bank account, a credit card, or eBucks.
Furthermore, the financial institution will also grant customers R99 in eBucks for renewing their disc using the service and provide a no-obligation car insurance quote from FNB Insurance.
