Alfa Romeo hosting free track day for South African fans this weekend – Details

The Alfa Romeo Club of Pretoria in partnership with Stellantis South Africa and SuperGroup is hosting a free track day for fans of the Italian marque this Sunday, 11 August 2024.

The event will take place at the Zwartkops Raceway outside Pretoria, Gauteng.

Registration begins at 08h00 sharp, with entrance to the facility being completely free of charge.

Fun for all

The Alfa Romeo track day promises to be a blast not only for car enthusiasts but also for the entire family.

For the petrolheads, the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Tonale will be available on the skid pan for a gymkhana experience along with a range of vehicles from the Stellantis group to either drive or be driven in.

These experiences will work by appointment on the day.

Owners of Alfa Romeo cars from all eras will further have the opportunity to drive their prized possession around the famed Zwartkops raceway at a cost of R500 plus R100 for additional passengers.

For visitors who tagged along but are not particularly interested in high-octane track action, there will be a number of attractions and amenities to keep busy.

Entertainment areas for kids as well as a movie screening will ensure the little ones remain occupied, and full catering will be available on-site to enjoy a day out, either by watching or getting behind the wheel.

The latest official Alfa Romeo and Alfa Romeo Club merchandise will be on sale, too, so that you can take something home for the Alfisti who couldn’t make it on the day.

“Whether you have a classic or just want to experience your modern Alfa, come and enjoy the day in a safe, well-managed environment that will truly get the best out of you and your Alfa Romeo,” concluded the automaker.

“Join in the passion, adrenaline, and camaraderie to celebrate the brand.”
