Used-car giant WeBuyCars (WBC) has announced that it will be running several promotions this coming weekend as part of the annual Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping events.
This year, WBC is hosting a “Black Tie Day” that could see consumers doubling their discounts if they show up in the correct clothing.
As in previous years, the retailer is also hosting a daily auction with bids starting at R1, with the star lot being a 2021 Tesla Model 3 with just 24,000km on the clock.
“That’s right—from just R1 and no auction reserve price, you could own this Tesla and experience the future of driving,” said Rikus Blomerus, Chief Marketing Officer at WBC.
“Equipped with a dual motor, it offers an estimated range of 568 kilometres (WLTP) on a full charge and can go from 0-100km/h in a thrilling 4.2 seconds.”
Rolling the dice
As part of the Black Tie Day, WBC customers will get the opportunity to “roll the dice” in-store when buying a vehicle.
Eight-sided dice animations will be displayed on big screens across the retailer’s 17 superstores which will reveal buyers’ mystery discounts.
“This means you’ll have access to discounts on over 10,000 vehicles this Black Friday,” said Blomerus.
Furthermore, customers who arrive in Black Tie attire at any WBC branch will double their discount, meaning savings of up to R50,000 are on the cards for these individuals.
“With consumers still feeling financial pressure, we’re adding extra excitement to the car-buying experience this Black Friday,” said Blomerus
“We want to combine the excitement of purchasing a car and the surprise of a mystery discount to create an unforgettable experience and great deals for our customers.”
Black Friday Auction vehicles will be visible on the WeBuyCars website from Wednesday, the 27th of November, and bidding will open on Friday the 29th with multiple auctions running from 08h00 in the morning to 15h00 on the same day.
For Cyber Monday, WBC will be running an online auction that starts on Sunday, 1 December, and ends on Monday, 2 December.
