The South African Festival of Motoring has been postponed due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in the country.
The fifth edition of the event will now be taking place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit from 26-28 August 2022.
“We believe this to be in the best interest of the industry and the event,” said Joshua Low, Managing Director of the Festival of Motoring.
Low said that while Covid-19 had a significant impact on the industry, new features areas and a stronger focus on business-to-business initiatives will make the 2022 Festival of Motoring the best one yet.
“FoM (Festival of Motoring) will provide the ideal platform for the industry to relaunch and engage with consumers in an experiential format,” said show director Judy Maharaj.
A new and improved marketing campaign will be sent to all participants of the event, and the organisers will ensure that the show takes place in a safe and controlled environment, said Maharaj.
In addition to the usual car festivities, there will also be culinary experiences with celebrity chef Reuben Riffel, along with a wide variety of family-friendly activities.
The FoM team said they know how much their fans love to come together for this motoring extravaganza and promised that their supporters will experience the Festival of Motoring again.
