In November 2021, Toyota was once again the best-selling car brand in South Africa – followed by VW and Suzuki.

Toyota clocked one of its best months this year, selling 11,892 units in the local market.

These figures were revealed in the latest New Vehicle Sales Report by Naamsa.

Out of the total reported industry new vehicle sales, an estimated 84.2% represented dealer sales, 11.5% represented sales to the vehicle rental industry, 2.4% represented sales to the government, and 1.9% represented industry corporate fleets

The total industry sales for November 2021 were divided into the following segments:

  • Light commercial vehicles, bakkies, and minibuses – 11,156 units (Down 0.8% YoY)
