In anticipation of the new Peugeot 2008 SUV launch in February, Peugeot South Africa has announced the model line-up and retail pricing for the local market.
The original Peugeot 2008 was unveiled in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show as a crossover that was “just a tad longer than most superminis”.
In 2016, the original model received a facelift, and with it came new features – such as an updated design, extra storage compartments, Apple CarPlay functionality, and the addition of a GT trim line.
The new model will therefore be the second-generation of the 2008 SUV.
The most noteworthy change to the new SUV is that it will be available with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that has different outputs depending on the model, and two transmission options – a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
“More of the remarkable features of the stunning second-generation Peugeot 2008 will be revealed at its launch in February. Our exciting and reassuring vision of the future is confirmed once again by the new Peugeot 2008 SUV,” said the company.
