The global premiere of the Renault Kiger took place in India last week, and Renault has now announced that it will soon arrive in South Africa.
The vehicle, which is based on the same platform as the Triber, is the latest in the line of compact SUVs released by the company.
The design of the new Kiger features a host of sporty and muscular elements which makes it stand out as an SUV, said the company.
The cabin combines technology and roominess, and the drive is facilitated by a new turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine.
Multiple drive modes will also be available, which offer greater flexibility for the customer.
Dimensions of the Kiger come in at 3,991mm in length, 1,600mm in height, and 1,750mm in width.
“After Duster, Kwid, and Triber, we are now preparing for the launch of Renault Kiger, a modern SUV that is a perfect fit for the South African market. Kiger combines the best Renault has to offer,” concluded Renault.
