Tata launches online store for truck parts in South Africa

Tata International Africa has launched an ecommerce parts website for Tata and Daewoo heavy commercial vehicle parts.

The website’s domain is: www.partskart.co.za

The company said the “automotive aftermarket industry first” will allow users in South Africa to order vehicle parts and have them delivered to their door.

“The launch of the ecommerce website gives Tata [an] edge to reach more customers, more efficiently,” said the company.

Len Brand, CEO of Tata International Africa, added that they are the first automotive brand in Africa to have developed an online parts store for heavy commercial vehicles that allows delivery to an end user.

“The online catalogue is currently set up to provide parts for five different Tata Trucks and two Daewoo commercial vehicles.”

“There is also an option to enquire about parts not listed or currently in stock.”

Nationwide coverage

Tata stated that the online store will cover the entire country in terms of support, from “big cities to the remotest towns”.

“Customers will now be able to place an order without having to go into a dealership or a distribution center,” it added.

Payment can then be made using a debit or credit card.

“The website also has an enquiry form which customers can complete online to get feedback from a salesperson if a specific item they need is not listed.”

A mobile app is also currently being developed to further improve accessibility, said the company.
