Audi will expand its South African portfolio in 2024 with a number of special-edition models for its most popular vehicles.
In no particular order, the German automaker confirmed that, next year, it will bring the following vehicles to our shores:
- A3 and S3 Black Edition
- A3 Sportback 35TFSI Urban Edition
- A4 and S4 Black Edition
- A5 and S5 Black Edition
- Q2 Black Edition
- Q2 35 TFSI Urban Edition
- Q3 SUV and Sportback Black Edition
- Q5 SUV and Sportback Black Edition
“These will be rolled out progressively throughout the year,” said Audi.

While the introduction of the vehicles will only take place next year, Audi has already given us the scoop on what the new A4 and S4 Black Editions will offer, providing hints as to what it has in store for the rest of the special-edition models.
Only cosmetic in nature, the Black Edition treatment gives the A4 the Black Styling Package that comprises blackened accents on the grille and bumpers, mirror housings, window surrounds, and badging, as well as tinted privacy glass.
The S Line exterior pack with sportier bumpers, Matrix LED headlights, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels are also equipped.
Continuing inside, the A4 Black Edition gains the S Line interior option that supplies accent surfaces in gloss black, a dark headliner, stainless steel foot pedals, electric Sports seats in fine Nappa leather with S embossing, illuminated scuff plates, a glass sunroof, a central touchscreen with navigation and Audi Connect, a digital driver’s display, three-zone climate control, a rear-view camera, and a wireless charger.
For the pricier S4, the add-ons continue with a carbon rear spoiler, premium Bang&Olufsen sound system, and front Sports Seats Plus with diamond quilting, heating, massaging, and pneumatic lumbar support.
“In the case of the A4 Black Edition, the cost of this special-edition model is significantly lower were these items to be optioned individually,” said Audi.
The A3, A5, Q2, Q3, and Q5 Black Edition derivatives should take the same approach and provide a stealthier look than what is currently available.
As for the Urban Edition, the manufacturer simply said that it will be presented as a “different offer to the Black Edition.”
The Urban Edition trim was available on the Q3 a few years back in which it had a number of silver and chrome highlights on the exterior, which is likely to be the same for the incoming vehicles.
