Toyota has launched a new accessories programme for its array of vehicles in South Africa.
Called Associated Accessory Products (AAP), the programme was “borne out of the need to offer Toyota customers a one-stop-shop for a range of accessories that would enable them to customise their vehicles while also enhancing their lifestyles,” said the local arm of Toyota.
These AAP products will, however, not be replacing the manufacturer’s existing range of vehicle-specific attachments including tow bars, styling bars, nudge bars, side steps, and canopies that it already offers under the Toyota brand, but rather complement them.
“To that end, we are collaborating with some of the most respected and popular suppliers in the country, including Ironman 4X4, 4X4 Megaworld, Front Runner, IVXIVBUSHINDABA, and Thule,” said Aidan Castille, General Manager of Conversions and Accessories.
AAP launched on 1 March and will be progressively rolled out across the Toyota dealer network in South Africa, Botswana, eSwatini, Lesotho, and Namibia.
