One monthly payment on a Lamborghini Aventador S can buy you a new Suzuki S-Presso

Since 2011, the Aventador has been at the head of one of the world’s most prestigious brands: Lamborghini.

It was named after a fighting bull, as is tradition with all vehicles from this brand, and it received the signature 6.5-litre, V12 engine that Lamborghini places in their flagships.

Throughout its 10 years it has seen four variants in both coupe and roadster guise emerge, and there has been no less than 13 special editions that were inspired by the Aventador.

At its least powerful, the 2011 Aventador LP700-4 churns out 515kW of power and 690Nm of torque.

The most powerful version, the Aventador SVJ LP770-4, produces 566kW and 720Nm.

In South Africa, we have been fortunate enough to see all four variants of the Aventador touching our roads – and even a handful of special editions.

Currently, however, we have the Aventador S LP740-4 for sale as new, with the rest available on the second-hand market.

This vehicle slots in as the “entry-level” Aventador, and sprints to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds while offering a top speed of 350km/h.

The monthly instalment comes in at R175,803.
