Suzuki Dzire updated for South Africa – Pricing and features

Suzuki has updated the Dzire for South Africa, improving the interior with new black upholstery across the range, replacing the beige colour scheme used by the sedan since its launch back in May.

“Fresh from the design studio and ready to take showrooms by storm, Suzuki Auto South Africa is delighted to introduce a sophisticated new black cabin for the Dzire sedan.”

“Replacing the previous beige trim with a finish that’s both more fashionable and more resilient, the update applies to all models produced from November 2025.

The carmaker stated that black interiors tend to wear better over time and maintain their appearance in demanding family and commuter environments, including the e-hailing scene – a key demographic for entry-level sedans.

Aside from the new look, the Dzire’s spec sheet and model selection are unchanged, which means it is available in three trim levels with prices starting at R229,900.

Features

The base Dzire GA comes standard with daytime running lights, manual air conditioning, a multi-info driver’s display, cloth seating, and 14-inch steel wheels in styled plastic covers.

It also has two speakers, though a radio is an optional extra.

Furthermore, each model has safety inclusions such as  rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, ABS, and six airbags.

Upgrading to the higher-end GL+ variants will then add front fog lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, chrome highlights, a 7-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, and a reverse camera.

The sedan also has a 378-litre boot.

Engine

All three versions are fitted with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which sends 60kW and 112Nm to the front wheels.

Both the GA and GL+ are available with a five-speed manual gearbox, though only the latter can be bought with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

In either case, the Suzuki manages an average fuel consumption of around 4.4l/100km.

Pricing

The South African pricing for the updated Suzuki Dzire is as follows:

This includes a 5-year/200,000km warranty and a 4-year/60,000km service plan.
