Jaguar has released the new XF R-Dynamic Black models that feature updated styling and new connectivity features.
These sedans are based on the R-Dynamic S trim and benefit from a number of key exterior characteristics that make them stand out from the crowd.
At the front, the R-Dynamic Black version gains a black grille and grille surrounds.
The black details continue to the side of the car with darkened mirror caps, side sills, window frames, and fender vents – and flow to the rear where black badging is now found.
The Black package further includes privacy glass, a panoramic roof, red brake callipers, and 19-inch gloss black rims.
The inside of the car is updated, too, with Satin Charcoal Ash veneers that work well with the contrasting bright metal pedals.
Features
The Pivi Pro infotainment system will be upgraded on all current XF models through an over-the-air software update this year, said Jaguar.
This additional software will make wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity available. These features were previously only accessible through the relevant data cable.
Jaguar also fitted the XF R-Dynamic Black with a cabin air ionisation and filtration system that captures “ultrafine airborne particles and allergens”, it said.
Another interior enhancement is the upgraded ambient lighting that supports 30 colours – in place of the previous 10.
Power
The Jaguar XF R-Dynamic Black models are powered by either a 2.0-litre, petrol or a 2.0-litre, diesel engine.
Both of these options are connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The more efficient diesel engine produces 147kW and 430Nm, while achieving a combined fuel economy of 4.9l/100km and a 0-100km/h time of 7.6 seconds.
The petrol engine then provides better acceleration as it produces 184kW and 365Nm, which allows the XF to sprint from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds.

The South African pricing for the new Jaguar XF R-Dynamic Black models is:

Both versions come with a 5-year/100,000km Jaguar Care Plan and warranty.
